The “Four Forces of Influence” workshop equips leaders with the strategies to effectively influence behavior through the key elements of Information, Instruction, Inspiration, and Innovation.  Join our live, virtual two-hour session on strategic influence, accessible from anywhere.  The session will begin at 11 am CST – bring your lunch and join us on Zoom!

What are you pouring into people to influence their behavior? Information can be poured into a client to influence their decision. Instruction can be poured into an employee to influence their improvement. Inspiration can be poured into a team to influence their commitment. Innovation can be poured into a leader to influence their direction. Become fully influential by mastering all four forces to suit any scenario.

Program OVERVIEW

This workshop explores the Four Forces of Influence, offering situational versions and applications for each force. Participants will explore best practices and pitfalls to avoid, gaining practical insights through demonstrations and discussions. Through experiential scenarios woven into the session, attendees will have the opportunity to interpret and implement each Force effectively, ensuring comprehensive understanding and skill development.

Format:

The program will be hosted in a live, virtual format on Zoom, from 11 am – 1 pm CST. 

Participants will receive a physical certificate of completion as well as a digital badge from Credly. The digital badge can be displayed on a participant’s LinkedIn and email signature.
This program is not eligible for federal financial aid. No academic credit will be awarded.

INSTRUCTOR

Joe Calamusa (1996, B.S., and 1998, MBA, graduate of The University of Alabama) is the Managing Director of The University of Alabama Sales Program and a Clinical Professor of Marketing.  Joe teaches the Program’s introductory course, Professional Selling, to over 300 students each semester.  Joe is a founding partner of Sales & Leadership Development Group (SLDG), a training and consulting firm focusing on the modernization of sales and leadership principles and processes.  Prior to The University of Alabama and Sales & Leadership Development Group, Joe spent 2 years as a Brand Manager for Sara Lee Foods and 10 years as a National Sales Manager for Peco Foods.
