The Emerging Leaders series is designed to help professionals build the core capabilities needed to lead with clarity, confidence, and impact. Across four focused sessions, participants explore the essential skills and mindsets that shape successful leadership, including personal effectiveness, delegation, team structure, trust building, communication, and talent alignment. Each session blends practical frameworks with real-world application so leaders can strengthen how they manage people, make decisions, and support high performance within their teams.

Each session runs from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. CST. Participants can register for a single session that fits their development goals or join the full series for a more complete leadership experience. Sessions are available in-person on campus or live via Zoom.
What you'll Learn

Effective leadership requires both capability and character. This session explores the skills and mindsets leaders need to grow, helps you assess your strengths, and guides you in creating a practical plan for development and advancement.

Great leaders do not just accept roles and goals as given. They take time to realign responsibilities, resources, and expectations to support stronger performance. This session helps leaders move beyond day-to-day execution and design a structure that enables success for themselves and their teams.

Trust is built through understanding, not titles or likability. This session strengthens leadership agility by helping you see situations from others’ perspectives and communicate in ways that build credibility, influence, and commitment.

Strong teams start with placing the right people in the right roles. This session introduces a practical framework for selecting talent based on role purpose and strengths, and for evaluating performance in ways that encourage growth and long-term success.
